I was trained to prescribe medicine in an evidence-based approach. What does that mean? It means I want to use the right medicine, at the right dose, at the right time, keeping the medicine as minimal as possible, only prescribing what is needed. I am not a psychiatrist that just keeps adding and adding medicine - that approach never leads to desirable results.
NEW - 65-80 minutes - this is for any person that has never seen us before in any location
FOLLOW-UP - 25-30 minutes - for medication management, for those we have seen previously
After our initial session, each person, along with me, can decide the type (and therefore the cost) of future appointments. I promise to help keep costs as minimal as possible, both for my services but also for the costs of medication.
I do not accept insurance. HOWEVER, are you aware that most insurance plans may still pay part of the cost for you to receive care in this office? You will leave my office with the necessary paperwork (called a 'superbill') so that you can submit my cost to your insurance company. Most plans will pay for my services as an out-of-network provider. Please check with your individual insurance provider.
Medicare and Medicaid, unfortunately, will not reimburse any amount for my services.
Credit/debit cards, HSA cards, Zelle, and checks accepted.
WHY DON'T I TAKE INSURANCE?
I want to focus on being a physician and providing high-quality care. That is what I was trained to do. That is what I do best. The policies and paperwork of healthcare insurance companies are so cumbersome that I would spend all of my time filling out forms. Time for actually treating people would be minimal. That is not quality healthcare, in my opinion. Quality psychiatric care requires more than a 5 minute appointment, I can assure you of that. That is not how I was trained, and it is not how I practice.
On July 1, 2026, new psychiatrists Jacob Kaiser MD and Aaron Dedmon MD will be joining this practice and will be accepting new clients.
